A man was killed and five people were injured as storm lashed different parts of Laxmipur and Natore districts on Monday.
In Natore, Hafizul Islam, a farmer, was killed when a thunderbolt struck him while working in his field amid rain at Walia in Lalpur upazila of the district on Monday.
Fifty houses were damaged, several trees uprooted while the many crops lands damaged as storm swept through different parts of Singra upazila.
In Laxmipur, five people were injured and 300 houses damaged as a storm lashed Borokheri and Chargazi unions of Ramgati upazila of the district in the morning.
Several hundred trees were uprooted while two school buildingsdamaged during the storm, said Ramgati Upazila Nirbahi Officer, Masudur Rahman Mollah.
